However, this article from AdAge shares the results of a report from the Electronic Frontier Foundation on how different tech companies protect user data from government requests. Social networks like Facebook have worked hard to regain user trust following revelations of NSA spying.

From Product to Media Company - The Atlantic looks at GoPro's recent IPO filing and its success, much of which can be attributed to its use of content distribution channels. GoPro is taking this to the next level by launching a platform for developing and sharing videos.

Spotify's Success and Trials - Bloomberg Businessweek talks about Spotify's success and milestone of 10 million paying subscribers. Still, Spotify faces challenges with Beats Music closing in on a deal with Apple and possibly having too much success to be an affordable acquisition for most companies. Spotify has yet to turn a profit.
