The End of Net Neutrality from a Brand's POV – AdAge's Tim Peterson looks at the implications of net neutrality for brands. Peterson asserts that the end of net neutrality brings opportunities for brands to reach consumers, but he goes on to say that it could mean brands' digital marketing channels having slower load times and other hurdles. Plus, at the end of the day, consumers will not embrace the change.

The Words We Shorten - NPR shares the findings from Dartmouth College researchers on how people use abbreviations on social networks. Social networks have led to a rise in the use of shorthand. The findings are cray!

Facebook's Chinese Rival - The New York Times' David Barboza looks at the biggest social platform in China, the social messaging app Weixin. It's grown faster than both Facebook and Twitter, reaching 300 million users in three years. Facebook has been working to expand into China, but Weixin's foothold may be too secure.

Overlooking the Power of the Receipt- Twitter co-founder and Square CEO Jack Dorsey says brands are overlooking the receipt as a medium for brand messages. It's something people "want to take home, that they engage with, be fully interactive with."
